Vintage Baseball Honored at Perdue Stadium

Most baseball fans do not realize that baseball has not always been played as it is today. Indeed, there are teams with obscure names like the Talbot Fair Plays and the Brooklyn Atlantics that reach back to an era where the only equipment you got was a ball and bat.

No gloves allowed. This past weekend, the Fair Plays and vintage baseball were honored at the Arthur Perdue Baseball stadium. So, Delmarva Public Radio took the opportunity to explore how the "real" game was played, where there were no "rabbit balls" and no big money players.
