Don Rush

It’s being called “America’s Coolest Small Town”.

The town of Berlin earned that name in a nationwide contest hosted by Budget Travel.

The Worcester County city bested 14 other small towns in the online contest that saw a total of over 137-thousand votes cast for 15 finalists from mid-January until yesterday.

Berlin got nearly 40-thousand votes or more than 28 percent of the total.

Berlin Mayor Gee Williams told the Salisbury Daily Times, “We have a lot to be proud of.”

The ten coolest towns will be featured in Budget Travel’s magazine has well as on its website.
