Wanxiang’s President told Reuters wire service it plans to restart production of the luxury plug-in hybrid at a Finland plant for sale to Europe and the United States.
During bankruptcy proceedings the subsidiary of a firm in China told Fisker’s unsecured creditors that it would begin with the production of a small number of cars in a Michigan plant and would later produce the second generation car the Atlantic at the Boxwood Road plant in Delaware.
Fisker declared bankruptcy in November after it encountered problems with the production of the plug-in hybrid at the former General Motors plant in Newport, Delaware.
