Homeless Shelter Sees Jump in Demand for Food From Needy Families

There may be a respite from the winter cold, but the homeless shelter in West Ocean City, Diakonia, is seeing a rapid rise in the demand for food from needy families. The uptick comes just as congress approved the Farm Bill with an $8.7 billion cut in food stamps. Delmarva Public Radio's Don Rush talked with Diakonia's executive director Claudia Nagle about the rise in demand for food.
