There was a suspicious package left in the parking lot of White Marlin Mall that sent law enforcement scrambling to cordon off the mall and evacuating several store on Sunday afternoon.
An employee of a nearby business called in the report to the Maryland State Police.
The three stores evacuated were Radio Shack, Subway and Kentucky Fried Chicken for around 90 minutes.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the package turned out to be a piece of luggage in a shopping cart that had been left unattended for an extended for a period of time on the side of the access road next to the mall’s parking lot behind the Radio Shack.
No explosive material was found.
