"Gun Turn-In" in Md on Saturday

Saturday, the Three Lower shore law enforcement agencies will participate in the inauguration of a statewide gun turn-in day.

It will be a chance for residents to voluntarily dispose of their unwanted firearms safely.

The locations are the Maryland State Police Barrack in Princess Anne, the Salisbury Police Department and the Pocomoke City Police Department.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that residents will not have to provide identification nor is an appointment necessary.

All types of firearms will be accepted whether they work or not.

At the Maryland State Police barrack in Princess Anne residents need to contact the duty officer who will then escort anyone turning in gun.
