There will be no Division 1 football team at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
UMES President Juliette Bell accepted the recommendation from a taskforce she named to look into the possibility.
The taskforce found that it was too costly and there was not the personnel to move forward with such a program.
However, the report adds, that the issue could be taken up again in the next five years.
