Delaware Beaches Expect Good Summer

Business has been a bit slow this winter in coastal towns like Rehoboth Beach.

Carol Everhart, President and CEO of Rehoboth Beach Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce, told WBOC that there was actually a decline over the winter months in overnight and weekend stays.

But she believes that the lull is only temporary.

She said that after the destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy many people have been calling up…who would normally take a vacation at the Jersey Shore.

Business owners in the Delaware Beach resorts are now gearing up for a summer boost as more hotels and motels start filling up for the season.
