Poultry Industry Gets Boost in Trade With Russia

Delaware Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons voted yesterday for a bill establishing permanent normal trade relations with Russia.

And that’s good news for the poultry industry on the peninsula, for whom, Russia is a major market.

In 1974 the provision was imposed on the former Soviet Union over emigration of Jews and other Soviet minorities.

The measure cleared the House last month and now goes to President Obama for his signature.
