Gov. Jack Markell Addresses Democratic National Convention

During his address to the Democratic National Convention last night Governor Jack Markell declared himself to be a proud, card-carrying, capitalist.

Then he took aim at Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney, who, the Delaware Democrat said, did not have the kind of business experience to qualify him as president.

He said that the shareholders for governors and presidents were people such as teachers, construction workers and hardware store owners.

Markell spoke on the same night that a number of former employees laid off by companies controlled by Romney’s old firm, Bain Capital, made their appearance.

All eyes are now turning to President Obama’s acceptance speech tonight.
