Salisbury, MD – In this age of Al Qaeda and the long war in Afghanistan, Delmarva Public Radio's Dick Rosse recalls a much darker time, when literally the fate of the world was held in the hands of two men. President John Kennedy and Soviet leader Nikita Khruschev met for the first time in Vienna 50 years ago sizing up each other just as the Cold War was about to become even more frigid.
