Author Jerry Sweeney is Wilson’s guest and they talk about Sweeney’s latest collection of short stories in his book Down Broadway. Sweeney is an Eastern Shore writer but he spent most of his life in and around Manhattan. His stories capture the vibrancy of the post WWII years in New York when the city was the art capital of the world, the only global super power, and the economy was growing. In addition there was the awakening and life through changing events including the feminist and civil rights movements of the 1960’s.  Sweeney is the author of seven novels in the series The Columbiad that traces the life of a family through the Twentieth Century. He is also the book review editor of the Delmarva Review.
