DPR celebrates National Poetry Month this April

To celebrate National Poetry Month, on each Thursday Morning in April, at 9:00 am on Delmarva Public Radio WSDL 90.7, we will present a talk by a distinguished regional poet and teacher. Guests include Anne Colwell, Associate Professor of English at the University of Delaware; Adam Tavel, professor of English at War-Wic Community College in Salisbury, Maryland; Holly Karapetkova, chair of the Literature and Languages Department at Marymount University; and John Nieves, Associate Professor of English and Director of Graduate Studies for English at Salisbury University here in Salisbury Maryland.

Episode no. 1- Anne Colwell, Associate Professor of English at the University of Delaware

The series begins Thursday, April 2 with Anne Colwell and the poetry of love, the oldest theme in poetic literature. Anne was recorded in February at the University of Delaware in Georgetown, Delaware.
